School Life
Your child’s education is very much a partnership between the school, your child and you. It is important to us that parents feel involved in their child’s learning journey so that the relationship leads to everyone working towards the same goals and aspirations.
As parents, you have the opportunity to meet informally with staff at the start of our academic year. You will be encouraged to support reading and share books, invited to ‘stay and play’ in the Early Years, guided through the application to secondary school and share lunch with us. You are also warmly welcomed to share in our weekly Friday assemblies and church services. So that grandparents also have a link to their grandchildren’s learning, they too have an opportunity to be shown the school by their grandchildren.
St Joseph’s is committed to lifelong learning and encourages children, whatever their age, to be interested, curious, resilient learners who welcome challenge and seek to achieve their very best.
Children are supported in their learning by a committed team of teachers and support staff who offer exciting opportunities for all children to discover, investigate, aspire and be happy in an environment where they are genuinely and individually treated with care and respect.
