It has been an action-packed week with our Opportunities Week in the lead up to half term! Year 6 have had four days of different activities, varying from first aid to a West End show ✨
They had the chance to go to @cadburyworlduk, participated in a graffiti workshop, learnt first aid and, on the final day, went to watch Mrs Doubtfire.

Today’s pop up and play session with Year 1s had a variety of activities to get involved with ⭐️
🧱 build with different materials
👮♂️ give out parking tickets and take suspect fingerprints
🧑🚒 get kitted up as a fireperson
🐶 play veterinarian and heal the poorly animals

It was lovely to see our Reception class hosting their grandparents last week, showing them their work and making some ‘old toy’ crafts. Some grandparents brought in a photo of themselves as a child or a toy to show the class. 🧸🪁🪀

Snowdrops hold a deep and enduring meaning, symbolising new beginnings, hope, rebirth and the capacity to triumph over challenges.

Our Year 6 scientists have been busy experimenting with the fermentation process of yeast!🔬 They explored how yeast produces carbon dioxide, inflating balloons in the process.
We had great fun trying out different amounts of baking powder and sugar to see how much our balloons would inflate! 🧪

Yesterday, our Year 5 and 6 Woodlands class had a fantastic morning shopping for food for the pigs and chickens!
After a busy time shopping and visiting the animals, we warmed up with a well earned hot chocolate or milkshake and some delicious toast before heading back to school. A good time as had by all! 🍞🐷🐔

This amazing programme offers our Year 1 pupils the chance to learn the violin through fun games and activities in groups. They can then opt for individualised lessons from Year 2 ⭐️
