Nosh 4 GOSH 2009

A most splendid evening on Saturday capped months of planning and organisation by Mrs Reynolds, Mrs Swinburn, their committee and many, many others who have given of their time and skills.  Nosh 4 GOSH is a fund-raising dinner, held every 2 years at St Joseph's In The Park which aims to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital through donations, raffles and a charity auction.  However, what makes the eveing unique is that the food, service and entertainment is carried out by the children of Junior 4 with help from Junior 3.  With help from adults, and Liam from Auberge du Lac, the children designed and cooked a three course Indian meal (as it was Diwali), waited tables and put together (with Miss Matosevic) the singing, dancing and table-side close-up magic show which astounded all of the guests.

A very special event, indeed, at the heart of which is a desire to help an institution that does so much for so many families whose children are in need.  Isabel Brown, our 13 year-old guest speaker, recieved a standing ovation for an outstanding speech which cemented the feeling that it is so very important to be playing a part to support Great Ormond Street Hospital.

We will have more to report later in the week.
