Dad's House Football
Despite the rumours of "tapping up" Parents from the Infant classes (which were indeed found to be true) and drafting in fitter & younger relatives, our 2nd Annual Dad's House Football Tournament went ahead on Saturday afternoon after our Open Day.  There was a perceptable increase in the intensity and the level of skill was clearly up on last year, almost certainly a result of strict training regimes throughout the year!

It was a very close and competitive set of matches with all three teams playing good football and entertaining the spectators enormously.  Benet and McAuley drew the first game 1-1.  McAuley beat Loyola 4-0 in the second.  Which left Benet, the reigning champions, a mountain to climb to retain the title.  They eventually won the game against Loyola 5-0 in an exciting and tense battle which saw Loyola go agonisingly close many times.

So, Benet retain the title, which earns each of the players a Gold House Point, which will do a great deal of good to Benet's standings!

Thank you to all of the dad's, relatives and friends who took part.  To the mum's for providing refreshments and to the spectators for your support.  And to Mr Spong, who is to be congratulated for putting the whole event together.
