The weekly Friday Assembly provides a powerful focus for our school community.  It is popular with both the children and the parents as anyone can attend.  Each class presents an assembly once a term based around a theme that reflects their activities at school.

All schools should provide education for life.  We incorporate the Food Standards Agency Eatwell Plate into our Healthy Eating objectives.  It provides children with an excellent visual reference to ensure that their choices at school and at home are balanced and nutritious.

Starting September 2005, we organise an annual Healthy Eating Competition for all the children, in association with Tesco.  Each age group: Pre School, Infants & Juniors, has the opportunity to submit a healthy meal that they have created at home.  The winning pupil in age group is chosen to attend a cookery lesson at Tesco’s Brookfield Farm.
